What about the locked storage room in the sphere -- spoiler

Has anyone managed to get into the locked room that's only a storage room?

I tried picking and whacking. No joy. Didn't have a knock spell to try. The statement was obviously an illusion or other dweomer to discourage me. Dispell magic was no help, True seeing ditto, Dispel illusion...

Probably a demon's lair; I need a heart.

After the return, I picked up knock and tried it. Still no joy. I looked behind it with a spell and saw nothing but a short catwalk; so I gave up on it. Is there anything interesting actually there? Or is it just a nasty little joke to waste our time, spells, and patience?

I've never gotten there myself. I would be kind of weird to place a door but not the area behind it. And if there's nothing but an empty storeroom there, why is the door locked? It makes no sense.

Additionally, you're not stuck with the demon heart, are you? I know, I know, it's late over here so I might be missing all the subtle clues..!

Not stuck on the heart now, I found one wandering around outside after it had last its former owner.

There is a door. When you try to open it, a message tells you "Don't bother overcoming the wards, it's only an empty storeroom."

It's known to Unfinished Business, but it's doubtful they'll ever do anything with it, since it wouldn't really add much to the Sphere. Fill it with enemies? Ho-hum. Empty storeroom? Ho-hum. Quest Pack might do something with it, but they'd need to find an area file that the catwalk in question could lead to.

Reminds me of some things in Icewind Dale II (Dereth and Sabrina's house comes to mind) that just say "You open the door and look inside. You see nothing of interest." Well, how would it know that? What if my party were led by a cleric of Talos who likes to steal ceramic cat statues from people he meets? I guess it wouldn't affect the plot, so . . .

The point is that you can't find nothing of interest inside because you can't get the door open. You have to believe that the message is truthful and not some kind of illusion. I don't know enough about the authors to know whether they would do that to us.

However they did do the same thing with a couple of the shops in the arcade that they tell you sell nothing of interest, and I believed them there.

Are you sure? I've tried to get into the storeroom, failed, and moved on with my life. Can you imagine if there was a genuinely empty storeroom in the game? You'd get a million people posting about it.
