I'm having a very annoying bug, that causes the game to crash every time the spell gate is cast. I have installed fixpack, tactics, ease-of-use and flirtpack. Anyone know how to get rid of this or have any suggestions?

did you install the SoA official patch before the fixpack though? If you have ToB installed, forget the SoA official patch and install the ToB official patch and the ToB fixpack instead.
