I killed Bodhi and proceeded to the city. Only I'm not too good at killing those adamantine golems too well. All the other adamantine golems I have killed by abusing the game rules and hiding at the end of a small corridor they can't walk through and killing them with hundreds of MMMs. As people have hinted at more dangerous creatures hiding in the city, I was planning to go away and do other quests and level up a bit. I would do that but everyone's been talking about how I have to hurry or Irenicus will execute his master plan and bad things will happen.
Is there really some counter that keeps watch of how long the city has been under siege? Does it really matter from other than roleplaying point if I go away and return next year? And don't spoil me too excessively. First play-through.

No... this quest is not timed and it's *highly* suggested you comeplete all other quests first.

And if you are having trouble with the golems there are a couple of good anti-golem weapons. Not going to spoil though unless you ask for it. Personally though I found one of them to be too cheesy.

Leave the city and complete as many quests that you can. Complete all the quests in Athkatla that you can (try the Cult of the Unseeing Eye). Try to complete the Umar Hills, Trademeet, Windspear Hills, and D'Arnise Keep, as well as any other strongholds that you can.
