Increased Stalker Backstab?

I'm playing a Multiplayer party (Order of the Stick), and I just had my Stalker (Belkar) Backstab somebody. He's using Quietus, so the Quadruple Backstabs have been no surprise, but I just noticed that lately, he's been getting Quintuples. So I stripped him of all his gear and gave him a plain Dagger +2, and his unmodified Backstab is x4. Now, he's Level 19 or so, and I seem to remember Valygar experiencing the same boost at high levels, does anyone know if this is an unwritten ToB bonus for Stalkers?

I almost had a heart attack when I saw a question mark in a SixOfSpades post! According to Near Infinity, they only get a backstab bonus at the 9th and 17th levels. . . but you probably already knew that. Sorry.

Valygar in my game has Quadruple damage without Quietus! He is level 22 so I don't really know from which level on is his backstab at x4.

I'd get the text fixpack from Baldurdash, fixes what probably amounts to hundreds of incorrect and unclear descriptions of items, spells, abilities, classes and so on.

Anyway, with the fixpack installed the kit description for Stalker reads
May backstab for a lesser multiplier than the thief class (level 1-8: x2, level 9-14: x3, level 15-20: x4, level 21+: x5)

So that's a natural quadruple backstab at level 15 and a natural quintuple at level 21 and beyond.

Aha! You are quite correct, Rataxes, the Stalker Kit Description does indeed say that in my game. Only problem is, it's incorrect: Belkar is Level 21, and his unmodified Backstab is still Quadruple. Hmmmm. This requires digging into the files, dang it.
