When something like that happens, it usually means they've gone forever. Other people might tell you otherwise, but i'd say you'll not be seeing her again. Although, i don't know about this, you may be able to summon her at the start of ToB...

As far as I know, she's gone for good, but check the Copper Coronet to be sure. Either power word:reload or accept the consequences of having someone as fragile as Aerie rubbing shoulders with a brute like Korgan.

Korgan and Aerie are but one pair of many in Baldur's Gate 2 that just don't get along with each other. You're probably going to have to make a choice depending on your other party members, and, not the least, the alignment of your protagonist.
If you have plenty magic power in your group without Aerie, then it's no big deal that she left. If, however, you're all muscle then maybe you should consider Korgan the party-pooper (pun intended). It's your choice.

Link is correct. IIRC, there's a module in Weimur's Ease-of-Use mod that will prevent NPCs from quitting.

However, I never use it. NPCs leaving is part of the role playing of BG2. If you don't want NPC's to leave, it's best to have a party of similarly aligned NPCs.

Korgan and Aerie lock horns almost as soon as they meet. Their Alignments are diametrically opposed to each other: Lawful Good vs. Chaotic Evil. Korgan will verbally abuse Aerie at the drop of a hat, and she's just as quick to call him a nasty man. Obviously, they hate each other's guts. Finally, Aerie decides that she's had enough, and slaps you with an ultimatum: She will give you one more day. After that, if Korgan's still in the party, she will leave.

Did you think you could simply disregard all this just because a Berserker and a Cleric/Mage happen to round out your party?

Viconia, and shel work with korgan, but to me Korgan never really says or does anything that would make me label him evil, chaotic something, but not evil.

It sometimes helps to tell people the make-up of your party (protagonist class and alignment, NPCs) and how you've decided to play the game.

As Six pointed out, if you're role-playing then you should have picked up on the fact that Aerie doesn't fit well with your group. If your PC is "good" aligned then maybe you should reconsider having NPCs like Korgan, even if they happen to be great tanks. If your PC is "evil" aligned then Aerie wasn't going to work out anyways.

If you're primarily power-gaming then do as Magness suggested and use the Ease-of-Use component that prevents NPCs from leaving regardless of what you do. This way you can just pick the "best" NPCs and build a power party and destroy everything in Amn without worrying about the game's little intricacies.

And as for your other question, I would agree with Balintheras and say that Viconia is probably just who you're looking for. Great cleric, nice magic resistance, potential for romance, etc.
