Solution to Death / Confusion effects

I am playing a solo FMT and I need to find an alternative to Chaotic Commands and Death Ward (no cleric, see...) I have ToB installed and experience cap is removed, but no other major mods, so I cannot access non-standard items. I don't want to, anyway.

I have also completed the game solo with a cleric mage, so I won't object to spoilers, but general hints as to where to look are also fine. I THINK there are potion alternatives to Chaotic Commands, but I've rarely used potions before so have never paid them much attention.

Oh, the situation is "complexified" by the fact that I am a KENSAI/Mage/Thief, so some things are off-limits until HLAs. (Yes, yes...I KNOW it's cheesy, but haven't you EVER wanted to try Mislead + Kai + Improved Haste? Oh...I can do that with a plain Kensai->Thief? I guess...but I don't wanna. If it makes you feel better, I am avoiding a lot of legit cheese like Shield of Balduran, etc.)

the green amulet if you can find one helps your out with all the mind annoyances in battle. of course the duration does not last long so its not really considered chessy. magic protection potions help i think although i dont know where you can regularly buy in a merchant.

Potion of Clarities for Chaotic Commands. There's Hindo's Doom if you want Death Ward.

early game long sword Adjatha the drinker gives charm & domination immunity and a couple of more legendary longswords later on give more

i'm no mage expert but wouldn't exploiting your mage protection spells be the way to go

my soloing with non-mage characters has taught me the usefulness of running out of the way and into stealth for coping with 'confusion' (seemingly the most common mind-affecting problem) and jsut waiting it out - slightly cheesy probably

The Shield of Harmony provides protection from Confusion.
