I Got a problem

hey everyone i got a little problem
ok i have played and finished BG a number of times but i have never been able to do the Gnoll Stronghold quest. Every time i go into the area the movie will start up and then ill get kicked back to windows. Then ill try and do it again and the same thing will happen. Is there any way i can by pass the movie so it wont play so i can just go straigh to the area, or i will i never be able to play this area?
please help me

I have heard about similar problems but dont remember how were solved. Have you tried to patch your BG?
If it is film problem only you can switch them off. I think that in .ini file there is section MOVIES or sth like that. There should be list of movies and values 1 (i think) below . You can change 1's to 0's, or try to delete whole line.

well i got Totsc installed so shouldnt that patch it up to the latest version?

You could always get the latest patch off of the Internet.

TotSC does patch BG up to the point that it was released, but you need the patch for TotSC itself.

yeah ill try getting the latest patch
the other idea about editing the ini file or what ever didnt work

If all else fails, I'd suggest cheating yourself onto that map. Since the movie seems to be what's causing the problem (I get a lot of crashes on the movies, too), anything that gets you around the movie is probably a good thing.

(My sound frequently cuts out, too, but this happens to me with Starcraft and Diablo, as well, so it's probably my system.)

Make sure you get the latest patch for TotSC, not BG. With TotSC installed, you don't patch BG anymore.

well i patched it up and it still dosnt work. SO iam gona try that cheat thing. grrrrrrrr is there any other way if the cheat dosnt work to get me to the map ?
