My PC is being upgraded soon and i will hopefully be able to play bg2 on it. I have a save on the current machine i am playing on. I want to continue this game but i will have to install bg2 onto my updated pc as well as all the mods. Therefore, will i be able to open the save game file on my pc or is the save game isolated to the originally installed game? It has worked in the past with other games so it should hopefully work with bg2. Has anyone had any experience of this and what shouldn't i do?

You can still play it, as long as you have all the Mods installed first.
