hello, my fellow BGT-ers

I'm loving it, and now I'm in the beginning of SoA, nice to see Coran and Yeslick still with me

but now I have a big problem -- Imone cannot equip any weapon; it says that *magic weapon in use.* Has anyone have this problem? Will this bug continue when I get her back later? I really want to take her all the way to the end

Boy, what a happy coincidence you mentioned Yeslick. Whenever you get a "Magical Weapon in Use," there's a quick and easy way to get rid of it (and it usually works, too): Dispel Magic.

I encountered this bug myself when I was trying to make an item that created the Golden Pantaloons for me (not in my Inventory, I wanted them to appear in the same location where you find them if you brought them over from BG1). I kept getting the "Magical Weapon" bug, and one of my early workarounds was to have the item cast Dispel Magic on the character as well.

It works! Thanks! Six

talking about item brought over from BG1; BGT adds one new item -- Sarevok's helmet!!! (since we get to root him after finishing him off this time around )

Be sure to save before leaving chateau Irenicus. There's another nasty bug later in the game and you will need exactly that savegame to counter it.

Bgtutu: small download (less than 1MB IIRC), tool to turn BG2 into BG1.
BGT: big download (more than 500MB), adds BG1 to BG2 making it possible to take a character all the way through the trilogy without interruption.

BGT is actually 650mb. Great though, if you have ADSL, cable etc. then go for it!

College stress kicked in and so he's still sitting there shortly after transition.
Maybe I'll pick it up again sometime in the next two weeks, I'm itching for BG2 anyway

650 MB? IIRC, the whole BGT was a little over 1GB...
