I am using a Cleric/Mage, what kind of items should i wear that will make me immune or will protect me from psionic attacks/spells like domination, mental domination, chaos, charm, psionic blast and etc? how do i immunize myself against all kind of fears except for the cloak of bravery? what about greater malison, how do i protect myself against it? my magic resistance is negative, what does it mean? it says, magic resistance = -49. and the last thing, what is the maximum level of magic resistance?

chaotic commands and resist fear! essential spells that your cleric will have access to and last for a long time. That'll protect against most of your first two sentences. Re. Greater Malison, try something like luck to reverse the effects...but clutching at straws for that one.

I've never seen a magic resistance that is negative so can't help you there. A 0 means that you'll always be affected by magic so there's no way for a negative value to be any worse. A MR of 100 means you'll always be immune to it (assuming nobody casts lower resistance on you) although i presume it can go higher in the manner of fire resistance. (where you're healed if it's over 100.)

I doubt you're ever going to get near 100 though unless with a hefty base magic resistance. I would consider 40 or 50 extremely good for the PC.

EDIT - spelling

EDIT 2 - It seems excessive, but Spell Immunity: Enchantment/Charm will do the job of stopping Greater Malison. Your saves should be low enough that it isn't a serious problem though in my experience, especially as Greater Malison doesn't stack.

Maximum level of MR is 100. Even more IIRC but 100% is needed for full protection.

You should *always* have at least one Stoneskin, one CC, and one Remove Fear memorized. Always.

Edit- Of course they're no good if you don't cast them. Stoneskin before bed (and in combat if it ever runs out), then CC and RF right before you go anywhere near combat. This includes but is not limited to walking through Athkatla, especially at night.

There are all kinds of items in the game that protect against Charm, Confusion, Domination, etc.....as a Cleric/Mage you cannot use Lilarcor or Adjatha the Drinker, so I would stick with a Helm of Charm Protection until you get the Shield of Harmony. You could also get the Greenstone Amulet, but it uses charges and it's available so late in the game that you'll probably already have found something better.

Psionics: In an unMODded game, the only item that can truly protect against Psionics is actually a Potion, the "Mind Flayer Birthing Brine." And of course to get it, you have to fight Mind Flayers. Psionics ignore Magic Resistance, but they are completely neutralized by good Saving Throws.

As far as I know, the only 3 items in the game that grant immunity to Fear are the Cloak itself, and two swords. Tough luck. Never be without Remove/Resist Fear.

If your MR is negative, that means somebody has cast Lower Magic Resistance on you and brought it down beow zero. If this is a permanent effect, however, you have some bad juju going on. The maximum effective MR is 127%. This is actually no better than 100%, it simply means that your MR can be lowered by 27% and you'll still be immune. Your MR can actually be higher than 127, that's simply the upper limit that the engine can show.

what about the Amulet of Seldarine which Queen Ellisime gave me? it states there that I will become immune to all enchanments and spells, what's the use of it? i still get affected by enchantments. Which is better, Greenstone Amulet or Amulet of Seldarine?

i'd say that the greenstone is only really useful before combat involving mind flayers... or peeps who use psionics.

The Amulet of the Seldarine gives you +15% MR and +1 to all saving throws you make (Spells, Wands, Death, etc) and the Greenstone Amulet uses charges... And again, Chaotic Commands can accomplish what the Amulet does.
There might be a case when the Amulet works and CC doesn't; if there is, I haven't seen it in recent memory, and it's probably rare... if there at all.
And Remove Fear is a very simple level-1 cleric spell that's painless to memorize and cast.
CC is a bit trickier, and I can see where you might hesitate when it comes to using up spell slots like that. Certainly a druid should only memorize one, to make room for Iron Skins, but there's no reason a cleric at your party's level shouldn't be able to have two or three. Assuming your party has at least one other cleric (besides your PC), you should be set for life.

Who's in your party? And are you, in fact, in ToB yet? And why the sudden interest... is there a particularly difficult battle/section of the game in which psionics are thwarting you?

Psionics can be annoying, but as a Cleric/Mage you will have more than enough summons to handle all the mind flayers the game will send at you. Skeleton warriors seem to be immune to many of their attacks, and Mordenkeinen's Swords are even better. Protect yourself and the rest of your crew with Chaotic Commands and commence to bombard the flayers with missile weapons while the summons hold the front line. I only used the greenstone amulet a few times before I decided it was a waste of time.
