Hi everyone.

With the mac version of the Throne of Bhaal just out (they said for a longtime that they would not port it - wonder what made them change their minds), I'm back enjoying baldurs gate, baldur's gate 2, taking my Bard "D'anther" through the whole game from beginning to end (I have finished baldurs gate and ToSC and now I'm fighting in the caves of the shadow dragon). Its been a good run to go rioght through with out having to wait new games to come out.

The reason I'm posting is to see if there are any other Mac users out there that are doing this and to offer help for them. I discovered the bug with that did not allow you to go to the windspear hills early on (emailed macplay to let them know) and there is now an update for this (it also fixes a bug with the dual g5).

I'm really looking forward to going into the new areas of TOB as i have remaind relativly spoiler free about what happens. I will elt you guys (and gals) know what happens

Eric

D'anther? From the drow word "d'anthe" meaning "dear" or just a coincidence?

Or perhaps from "danter" (Or is it "danther"), the Amnish (Or is it Tethyrian) currency?

it was pure coincidence, its just a made up name i have for a book I'm writing and decided to use it here, the name is derived from a caste system i have developed for the book, the first letter indicates which caste you are.

I know about the tab key, it makes it easier sometimes but I agree its cheating just a bit, too bad i kn ow where most of the good stuff is already, can i untab my memory, and play the game again for the first time - would make irenicus's dungeon seem a whole load of fun again!

When you finish ToB try soloing a char from SoA to ToB... It is really a good thing to do.

And your bard can be very good at this.

I usually played fighters so when I started barding I got surprised. And soloing them has proven to be a challenge. They are just cool. My bard is Iridur Crazyblade, and I'm soloing SoA right now. He is still kinda weak but soon will become a powerhouse, I'm sure...

It won't be that hard. I started a Wizard Slayer solo I haven't progressed much on him) and he's in chapter 2, but he's already got ToB HLAs. I won't be surprised if he hits the XP cap in the Underdark, so don't even worry about being weak right now
