In the end part of Tales of the Sword Cost, when you fight that demon at the cult and the acoytes standing around him, my 51 year old mom (who happens to love rpgs) lit the house afire with multiple profanities. Well me being a loving son, lol, decided to do it for her. Well, i ALMOST killed him the first two times, then on the last try the demon HELD HIMSELF!! allowing me time to kill all of his followers, do a little victory dance and kill him. Needless to say instead of praising me my mom almost went insane. After over 15 tries and an hour and then having your son come in and have the demon hold himself i think anyone would go nuts.

I'll admit to having done something similar BK. In my very early days, I was stuck at the tent with the leaders of the bandit camp, having thought that I was a sufficiently high enough level to rid the world of these pesky varmints. Could I do it? Could I, (insert own expletive)!

So there I was, using language that would make a docker blush at fifty paces, when in walks my sister, once again inquiring why I play these games (games? GAMES? Does BG look like a GAME to you!) 'cause it can't be good for the old blood pressure. In my wrath, I proceeded to regale her with the numerous (oh, so numerous) attempts to smite these wags, and reloaded the last save...

"You see, here's were this fighter comes rolling up and BAM! Smacks me round the head with...Oh, the Charm Person worked."

"Ha, ha. The mage always, and I mean ALWAYS, makes his save, and then gets his Horror spell off before the summoned monsters can disrupt him...(mage goes down swinging)...but no, he didn't. Just to prove me a liar though *I look over shoulder* that's the only reason why."

Etc. Ad infinitum. You get the drift.

She still wonders why I play these games. Doesn't even look like a game does it? Where's all the footballers, and (out of chronological-sequence) miniature soldiers besieging ancient castles that wouldn't even be around in their time? Bah, humbug!

Right they I was at max health and ready to kick butt, charge in to find he wasn't alone, Farlon is cut down in seconds by Tozak then Yeslick and the rest of my party, I laugh, reload and try again. An hour later I reload after being killed again and change tactics, using every spell slot avaible I turn my party invisable and enter, surive just long enough to hit somebody and then all die. Start swearing but get interurped by my mother who says "If that I the games effects you I'll play." So I say okay once I have killed this guy (Hehehe) and reload. Sneeking my invisable party behind the pillers so they won't be attacked, I staying just outside their sight throw a cloudkill and use a potion of invisablity and wait, the mage and Savy surrive so in comes my party and get killed, so only I left when the potion wears off and the mage throws a cloudkill at me, thinking I'm dead I start swearing only to see that the mages cloudkill killed Sav'!!!! and the ends the game. The complete barstard!

Unfourtunately, my game was rather uneventful, I mostly whooped butt.. What I do like is run away from an expanding fireball w/ boots of speed.. fun fun..
In TotSC where the four gaurdians are, i'd attack them then every one of them would spawn then clones would spawn and more clones and more clones.. There must have been 20 of each after a while...(This was a bug, I just summoned some Drizzts, hey if they can cheat, so can I.)
