I saw an ad for it in a games magazine about the time it was released and thought it was pretty cool. 2 months later I borrowed it from a friend...and had it for 7 months until I bought my own copy... I was in love
How about you?

I read lots of previews in PC magazines and the test of the final version. As I played many of the Gold Box Games from SSI and the p&p AD&D, I knew, I have to buy it as any expansions and sequels.

I had just had my PC built by a friend, and I was in the store looking for a game to buy for it, and I asked the sales-guy what RPG was the top of the line, more story-based than fighting, and overall interesting.
The answer is obvious.

A friend bought it, and raved about it, so I picked it up and I've picked up every piece of Bioware D&D since

I played it on my brother-in-laws computer, being curious to see what the rave was with all these RPG games. Ever since then I have been a complete and utter addict of it.
