Are there any BG2:SoA mods out there that do not require WeiDu to install (if someone were to have a mac?) Or are there any other programs that would suffice to install the files for item-upgrade &c mods.

There are plenty. If you go to black isle and look for the mods you want there should be a list of down load sites for Mac Specific computers. (Tashia, Darkest day, Kelsey...) just a few i am certian on.

To answer your actual question, yes: The Darkest Day is an excellent example of a non-weidu mod. Check out TeamBG for it.
To answer what I believe is your real question: you can install all the WeiDU mods (that don't require ToB ...) if you have a mac! http://weidu.org/Mac.html http://ire.mainecoon.net/customs/weidu.html This information is, of course, a closely guarded secret, and would never be found in so commonplace a location as the standard installation instructions.  Devon (who I never thank enough) is very good about keeping a Mac version of WeiDU up to date and his "WeiDU Project" tool comes highly acclaimed for mod managing. |
