Staff of Power

Most of time I play BG2, I alway get the staff of Magi, which is so powerful,
and I never bother to get the staff of power, now I play a fighter/mage
and I get the staff, look at the state, the only thing missing is the
invisiblity provided by staff of magi.
I plan to use it as a alternative of staff of magi, I tired of killing
enemy while they just stand still.
My question, what is the enhance to hit/damage staff of power have? it does not indicate in the description.
Anyone have make good use of this staff?

As you said, it makes a very handy substitute SotM. +2 to AC and all Saves is nothing to sniff at. I believe it acts as a standard +2 weapon, while the SotM grants a -1 THAC0 bonus, +1 damage bonus, and strikes as a +5 weapon.

One thing about the Staff of Power is that its Lightning Bolt of Paralysis allows NO Save. Ooooo!
