I'm doing the Unseeing Eye quest, where I need to retrieve part of a rod to defeat the Beholder. I'm confused on which level the rod is actually on - the Athkatla sewers or the "Unseeing Eye Lair" or somewhere else. If it's in the Unseeing Eye Lair, there doesn't seem to be a way down there. Gaal gave me a key, but I'm not sure what it unlocks.
Any help (specifics) would be appreciated. Regards, Michael |

In the Unseeing Eye part of the sewers, when you first walked in, there was a locked door which you can't open... that is what the key is for.

If you leave the cult area and go back to the sewer exit (don't exit the area) just go straight from there instead of taking a turn (as you did to get ot the cult area). This is where the key fits.

Forgive me, I'm a bit confused. I was able to get into a door marked "Door to Inner Chambers" on the Unseeing Eye level, which led to the guy who told me about the evil Beholder, and the rod. I killed the Shade Lich in the coffin and got what I assume to be the "second" part of the rod (some half arm & leg thing). Or is that wrong?
I assume there's still one more rod part to find, but I'm lost on where to go to find it. It's late here - forgive the this weary soul! Any help is appreciated. Regards, Michael |

Those bodgy body parts are involved in a completely seperate quest in another part of the city. You need to contine to the left past where you fought the lich (the doorway can be hard to spot) down a corridor and you'll find a large circular staircase. Descend and explore further....

the lich you killed and the bones you got is part of another quest.. there are several of them (not saying how many) scattered around in the city.
the unseeing eye quest, you should go west of the tomb and go downstairs for your destination. cheers!
