I lured them into my favorable grounds.
I had a runner hasted with speed run up and allow my mage to throw some cloudkill and monsters and such in there, (you initiate battle), then I ran, and allowed my magics to work. The dwarfs eventually made it toward the right of the screen where I had strong men to meet them in front, having two clerics as healers behind these guys, and mages casting everything in the book. It was all about stratigic placement of what character where on the screen...and of course running room for emergencies. The clerics kept everybody alive while they battled. My thief (my runner), ran around getting good arrow shots in and retreating if she drew attention. |

The way that I beat them Forscythe, was to talk to them with someone that has Boots of Speed on, and then leg it back towards the stairs where the rest of the party were waiting. Quickly exit, and read the captions along the bottom as two of the warders start smacking each other over the head. Nice. Quickly enter again, and take them by surprise (or allowing one of them to be killed for you) and destroy them in detail.
With one or two of them in front of you it isn't a problem; one of the others will rush up to join in, but you can keep him at bay with summonings, deal with the two in front of you and proceed in to the toughest of the lot who's waited by the gate. ------------------ Making running away an art form |

I beat them by talking to the warden in the lower left corner last (which is obligatory, If I remember right). Before talking to him, I summon a bunch of monsters in the direction of the upper left corner and the lower rigt corner to keep the rushing wardens busy until my party has finished the first one. You have to be careful to stay in the lower left corner, otherwise you will be hit by the cloudspell the warden in the upper right corner casts.
It is not the easiest way and I needen several tries, but it worked for me. |
