Alhelor, Sir Jolus and friends. I can't kill them.

I asked this question 12 months ago but still haven't solved it (just started playing BG2 again) ... if anyone's willing to try with my saved game (if that's even possible) i will happily provide.

Anyhoo, question as follows...

I'm a level 12 sorc. My party constsits of Minsc, Korgan, Viconia, Yoshi and Edwin.

Reputation = 12.

Every time i enter Waukeens Promenade i get attacked by Alhelor (a mage), Sir Jolus and others like him. I've tried about 6 times to beat them but they seem real strong. I've tried protection from Magical energy and a whole bunch of summons with defensive harmony and other protection spells.

Anyone have any sure fire ways of defeating them?

Alternatively, anyone know how to enter the Promenade at the bottom right rather than the top left where i always seem to end up?

All help appreciated.

Um...did you by chance start Windspear Hills and then skip out on it? I'm not at all certain, but that may be the source of your trouble.

I have definitely completed the Windspear Hills quests. I went back and saw Garren and got the quest experience points etc. But alas, Sir Jolus & Alehor still hate me

Any other ideas?

Could be a bug, did you return to Athkatla before you talked to Garren? That could be one possibility of why they're still attacking you. Other than that, I'm not too sure.

Yes, I did return to Athkatla before completing the Garren quest. Does sound like a bug. I guess there is no way to fix it then?

Well, they're not going to be called off because Garren met with the Radiant Heart after you returned to Athkatla, but you may be able to go to the House of the Order and see if it has been cleared up, but I'm not too sure on it. If it doesn't, the most I can say is that you may have to kill them. Sorry Bud.

Thanks all. I ended up taking the soft option and killing them with CTRL+Y. First time I cheated though [img]smile.gif[/img] . Alhelor was just soooo annoying,
