High Level Dual

I'm planning on dualling a high class Kensai to a thief later in myu current game.

I would like opinions on the:

L24 Kensai/L28 Thief
L25 Kensai/L27 Thief

dual classing.

I'm looking at the L25 Kensai dual out of preference, so I would get +3hp and one extra fighter HLA. The only thief HLA I'm really interested in is Use Any Item, so I imagine a time trap would be my second choice.

Hi Dace,

Hmmm, dualling at level 24 will give you 5 fighter HLA's and 4 thief HLA's. Your kensai will have +8 to hit and +8 to damage.

Dualling at level 25 will give you 6 fighter HLA's and 2 thief HLA's. Your kensai will have +8 to hit and +8 to damage, and a whopping +1HP extra over the 24 dual.

My advice, the kensai is already a very potent warrior, especially at these high levels, making the warrior HLA's somewhat less important than for a standard fighter (don't get me wrong, they are still mighty useful). I'd dual at level 24, and take the extra 2 thief abilities. You'll want use any item, and spend the remaining 3 on spike traps and time traps. Since the kensai will deal out punishing damage over a very short period, get some time traps, so you can put the offensiveness to full effect.
