Horus - Egyptian Sky God

I've really just started this game, so as a rule I talk to everyone until they have nothing else to say. This got me in trouble yesterday, though, when I spoke to a man outside a building. He turned out to be a slaver, so I proceeded inside to dispell of this evil with my Berserker friend and a certain hamster. sadly, I was defeated by some "arrows-of-instant-smiteness," which means reload! Should I continue trying with different tactics, or wait til I'm stronger?
Thanks in advance! |

After arriving in the slums you are made an offer by one of the most annoying characters ever created (Coo!). Following acceptance you should get some help from his almost as annoying nephew (wow…. Adventurers!). And that little boy will take you to or at least very near the Copper Coronet. There you should get the first part of the slaver’s quest and clues about alternative ways to get into the slaver compound in the slums. Although truthfully entering the way you did is much easier.
While at the Coronet you can pick up several other NPC’s (One good, one soon to be good and one evil) they will be happy to help you with the slavers. If you are just starting to play I would suggest working with a party of six. Also when you are done kicking behind at the slaver ship return and tell your new friend at the Coronet for some nice prizes.

Dron_Cah, where are you? If you're not in the slums, IronDragon's post isn't going to make a whole lot of sense. But if you are, then never mind.

First off, i remeber the Animaniacs, they were great! I am indeed in the slums, but I haven't heard much about the slavers except from the beggar. I think i've met all the NPC's in the Coronet, and I icked up the annoying chick to help her a her grandfather. Maybe I should help the evil dude, as he is going to the tomb which means loads of undead. Dron Cah the paladin can't wait for that!! Oh, yeah, soemthing I noticed is that the place is called the Tomb of Kozah, which is the same name as the idol in BG1 that caused so much trouble. (or am i wrong?)

You should do all quests as they provide exp. cash and items. If your party is low-leveled it´s wise to run some small errands to gain levels before taking on bigger quests. Most quests involving joinable NPC´s are bigger quests and thus generally harder.
As for the slavers... *Minor Spoilers* ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ The slaver quest really consists of two parts where one of them is easier than the other. The easiest part evolve around The Copper Coronet and the slighly harder part is the stranded ship. You should be able to finish these quests somewhat early in the game without too much effort. The quest with the annoying chick, Nalia, is a little bit more difficult.

Actually, they're two completely different entities. Pirengle, you have to go heap dung upon your head now.
Kozah is a long-forgotten (and therefore dead, correct?) god of chaos and misfortune. His was the Idol in BG1. Kaza was a Lich, who appears to have died sometime around the Fall of Netheril....500-1000ish years ago, I think. He wrote the Book of Kaza that Korgan's been nagging you about.
