Um, generally a 'cursed' sword is not good at all. Anything cursed is not worth using.

Generally anything 'cursed' is not a good thing to have. It isn't wise to use any cursed item even if it is +3. A Berserk rage is not a handy thing to have (especially when you end up taking out your own folks).

The sword of beserking can be used if you are very carefull. In a tough fight against multiple opponents who don't use magic (skeleton warriors, invisable stalkers, helmeted horrrors, some doomguards), give him some lightning protection (the fourth level priest spell gives 100% resistence, TOSC only), send him in and have your lightning blaster at the entrance. I love using lightning indoors as long as you have the 100% protection. You get more bang for your buck (those babies bounce around sooooo well). You could use fire; but, it's rather costly because the only way to stack to 100% is with potions or fire resistence (there is an item combo' that can do this as well). I like to save them for the big battles that have spell casters. You don't even need the sword, Minsc can do this without it. You must keep the rest of your party back. You should NOT haste the beserker. Haste your lightning rod. If the beserker does chase you, you must leave his fog of war. At that point, he will turn back on your opponents (this also applies to dire charm). As the ogrillions say "Time for some carnige". Remember, victory must be "glorious".
