Ok. why keldron's AC is very difficult to lower?with shield, helmet(reduces AC by 1) and armor(AC 0)he has AC just -7 but i never use the shield because of the two handed sword he uses.Valygar's AC is now -8 and has his family armor that has AC 2!!!
i have searched in and out the whole bridge district and i havent found that guy in red.The gravekeeper said he would be there? Edwin is pretty good conjurer is he better than nalia or aerie (lvl 14 both?) [ 05-04-2003, 06:00 PM: Message edited by: sorab ]

You can try the Gaxx ring and/or the Red dragon scale armor (AC -1). I've got Minsc with -9 AC without Shield so the Keldorn may also be with lower AC (I've got to take a look at my save games for exact 'stuff') - you need Armor AC 1 or AC 2 in order to equip them with some other 'stuff' that gives them (Minsc or Keldorn) bonuses to AC and most important ST. I beat the games: SoA and ToB with Keldorn with AC -1 so don't worry - he is nightmare for all mages and sorceres equiped or not with the CoM (Cloack of cheese like s.o. says) and for the fighters when he grants his special abilities. He is your 'dispel' and 'true sight' man .
Keldorn is one of the best NPCs in this wonderful game ! [ 05-04-2003, 06:15 PM: Message edited by: Merlin from Amber ] |

I agree, Keldorn is great. Also, a certain pair a bracers greatly improves his AC.

Item/Chapter 4 Spoilers
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Cloak of Umar Hills Spoiler ~ ~ ~ ~ You might try the Armor of the Night (I think that's what it's called), the reward for the Umar Hills quest. If you wait for ToB, there's a certain armor there... Edwin is a much better mage than Nalia or Aerie, due in part to the fact that he has his amulet (vs Nalia's +5% fire resist....) and the fact that he is single classed (vs. Aerie's double classed). Plus Edwin is much funnier. Caution: Don't take him and certain good characters, he is, after all, evil. Only thing imo that Aerie has over him is that she is a Cleric/Mage, but she advances much slower in levels. Mages own Clerics anyway (My personal opinion). I'm afraid the only way to restore your romance is through some console (cheats).
Here is my party combination, just in case you are wondering about good one: one sorcerer, two mages (common), three fighters(paladin, ranger, fighter), one druid, one cleric, one thief (NPC spoilers) Me - sorcerer - well nothing is powerful like him. Maybe this class should be weakened because it is very powerful. (~29 % of all the kills (600+ enemies ) SoA+ToB ). Minsc - ranger - Fighter No 1 (~19%) Keldorn - inquisitor - Fighter No 2 - Mage's nightmare (19%) Aerie - mage/cleric - she learns spells and takes exp and when in her high levels hm... lots of the magic she uses is unusable to my sorcerer - extremly helpful mage/cleric - she kills dragons, demons, shadows, mind flayers ... (~17%) Jaheira - druid/fighter - she can cast highest druid spells - a lot of them and with her special abilities she becomes a pretty good fighter. Aerie can not be that good in the priest spells as Jaheira is. (~9%) Yoshimo - find traps, pick locks, thievery stuff - replace him with Imoen later Imoen - Mage/Thief - some additional spells to the party - she does all the thievery stuff you'll ever need (with some potions when needed) and also she'll cast her first time stop before Aerie even know her first eight lvl mage spell. He is north from Five Flagons Inn. He is outside not in the houses. Search for man dressed in red.
Just in case I'm giving the wrong direction - when you're staying in front of the Inn move down-left along the wall. [ 05-04-2003, 08:16 PM: Message edited by: Merlin from Amber ] |

The guy your looking for in the bridge district is Am-Si, once you confront him about the kidnapping he will run to his hideout. I always give keldorn Gauntlets of Dexterity to make up for his woeful dex (he has only 9), his AC lowers by 4 with it. Armour with AC 0 is ok, but find some -1 armour (Red Dragon Scales are good), or better still -2 (Armour of the Hart). If you can spare the Ring of Gaxx, give it to him to boost his AC by 2. The cloak of sewers is also good to use, as it can be used with Red Dragon Scales whilst providing a boost of 1 AC.
