~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ a) You do know it's possible to avoid this fight, right? Experiment with the dialogue choices a bit... b) If you must fight him, use the spell breakers: Breach, Warding Whip, Ruby Ray, True Sight, and Dispel Magic. These will help remove his magical defenses so that your warriors can pound him (Breach is the key to removing stoneskin and prot from ____ weapon spells, but sometimes those spells are protected by a spell shield--hence the need for Ruby Ray of Reversal). Turn your feedback to max so you can see what spells he casts on himself, and try to counter them. c) You have Keldorn!! He has Dispel Magic as a special ability. The Inquisitor kit's Dispel Magic is twice as effective as normal, use it often! d) Protect your party from his spells. Clerics have a spell called Death Ward that shields against death spells, or you can drink potions of invulnerablity--they only give AC 0, but they add +5 to all saving throws. Great for fighting against spellcasters. e) If the above are not available, or you don't have the spells available/memorized you can use the summoning strategy--summon in some creatures, any creatures to attack the mage, then get your party out of range. Let the mage use up his really nasty spells on your fodder, and then go back in and finish him when he's out of his high level spells. (Note that some spells like Death Spell will automatically kill ALL summoned creatures at once, so you may want to send them in as small groups instead of all at once) [ 05-09-2003, 08:07 PM: Message edited by: Olorin ]

A very good way of killing MAges r using weapons with "elemental" damages ( StoneFire, Frostreaver...etc) and just start pounding on him. Although only ur elemental damage can hurt him while he's in Stone Skin, it can interup his spell channeling~ BTW, using Fighters against Mages r a good choic e since they all have pretty good saving throws. And about his spells, use Death Ward, or Spell Immunity
