: : : : : : : : : : : When I met the mage doing experiments on the slimes in the area directly east of N. mines, I made the mistake of killing the slimes first. He is nowhere to be found. Last time through, I killed him first and got his wonderfull ring of fire resistance. Can he be found? I love to put this ring on my tank with a potion of FR, send him in to the fray and bomb away. I dont think he can be found if he leaves.
SPOILER - - - - - - - I usually choose the option of asking him to teach me the spell, that way he becomes hostile and summons 2 mustard jellies, its a lot of xp (1600 the mage and 2000 each jelly). Anyway, he only has a robe (cant remember which one, maybe traveller´s or adventurers or knaves robe) and a couple of spells (lightning and web). The fire resistance rings are: ANOTHER SPOILER  - - - - One is found in Candlekeep dungeons in chapter 6 - The other is hidden in the are located east from nashkell mines (the area where you can help Simon by carrying him to the FAI). ------------------  "It feels good" -Ertai, Captive of the Blinding Angel
