Best weapon for an Acrher?

Hi!I just made a brand new party.So what is the best bow for Archer->Elven Archer that is.

I have The Item Upgrade Installed too.

Probably the Shortbow of Gesen, then again I'm not much of an archer

Early SoA:
Short Bow - Tugian Bow
Long Bow - Elven Court Bow
Crossbow - Light Crossbow of Speed

Late SoA:
Short Bow - Gesen's Bow
Long Bow - Mana Bow+4 or Strongarm
Crossbow - Light Crossbow of Speed

ToB or MODs:
Short Bow - Gesen Bow
Long Bow - Teleomortis
Crossbow - Firetooth

Being one who apprciates a good bowman, I have to state I have found only two really good bows. One is gesen, but it takes until the end of the game to get it. The other was found in a shop in Trademeet after the Djins were gone. I don't remember the name but its best feature is that like Gesen it doesn't need arrows. Oh, and i found it in the game without enhancement.

firetooth is really nice u can get it as soon as you get out of jons prsion u can buy it from one of the persons outside whatchers keep.

Yes that's a very good bow it's called Tansherons Short Bow I believe. I usually have Mazzy equip this it's handy as it never runs out of ammo. Tuigan bow is a good option as well though as it has more attacks per round than others if you have TOB and get the quiver of plenty you never run out of ammo either that setup can deal alot of damage.

I really like the bow that shoots 3 arrows per round or whatever it is. Tulgian or something. Its good in the beginning, anyway, in the event that you need to disrupt spell casting. Gesen is nice in that it can hit a wide variety of targets that might normally be imune to a regular bow. but again, you can't get it forged until you are out of the underdark. Gesen just doesn't seem to do too much damage though. I have Imoen using it and she has a girdle of some giant stregth (maybe 22 str) and she only seems to do 7 or 8 damage with it. I rarely use it though, just when she's run out of offensive spells.

I've never really paid too much attention to crossbow's, but many have looked very good. plus, there is an abundance of bolts of biting, bolts of lightning and such.
