What's with the books and the stories in it?? Why do you have to get them for Firebeard?? (or whatever his name is?).
(I mean books like :"the history of the unicorn run")

That books tell you the history! If you want to know about past ages and so on. That book for Firebeard is just a quest. Bring it and you will get some exp.

Basically 99% of the books you come across are for your reading enjoyment that gives you the history of significant places of Farune. So don't bother carrying them around and wasting valuable inventory slots. But there are exceptions like the Firebeard where you get experience and much, much later in the game where a character will give you one that you must have to get in somewhere. Make sure you have an open space to receive!

Well, I played BG I about 5 times already. I was just curious if the books really didn't have more value then just telling history.
