Just curious,
the new archer-rebels are easier than they were before ( I love the reflection shield now .. always found it to be pretty useless ).
But there's this creature the priestess that ambushes you at the temple of Sekolah ( wears the cloack of mirroring ) summons:
-A minor avatar of sekolah- ....

I really dont like this guy, anything that i send at him melee gets
"swallowed whole"
Did eventually beat him pretty easily,.. but I was wondering about the "swallowed whole" ability this guy has.
Does it allow a save, does it work on every hit, or only at a natural 20, is their a percentage like the flail of ages, again in that case: save or no save?

Thx for any replies

Yes, the Minor Avatar of Sekolah can easily wreak havoc in your party if you don't plan ahead.

His melee attacks are devastating - he deals a lot of damage, causes "bleeding" to add insult to injury, and as if that was not enough - he has that annoying "swallow you whole" attack. It does allow a save, though - save vs. death at -4, if i remember correctly. This is a good time to drink those *stackable* potions of Invulnerability.

As for killing him, it took me a reload or two to find that he is very susceptible to backstabs. The only problem is that he can see through invisibility, so occupy him with summons to prevent him from targeting your backstabber and thus ruining the attack.

Good luck.

According to shadowkeeper, the avatar doesn't have any special abilities that let him do that! (unless i'm reading it wrong) His hidden ability is a bitch when fighting him solo. At first i thought his melee weapon had some sort of imprisonment effect but after checking, i'm not sure.

Is that a save you make at every succesfull blow he lands ?
The reason I wondered was because I never saw any "daan: save *number*"
in the dialogue-box, although i did survive several of his blows without getting eaten alive ...

My eventual tactic was to simply cast PfMW, walk up to him, whack him with celestial fury and finally construct a device around him, that made one drop of water fall on his stunned head every second ( been tested and proven )..
By the time he could move again, he was afraid of water .. so I went to the underdark, leaving him alone in a city a few miles under the ocean

Yep - a la Celestial Fury, but with an even more powerful effect.

You said it.

PfMW and Celestial Fury are all your Fighter/Mage will ever need.

Minor avatar of Sekolah fight isn't very mean at all - if you use summon spells, web and ranged weapons.

BTW, has anyone tried importing character with Big Metal Unit and attacking MAoS? Swallowing Iron golem would be difficult

It can swallow one Skeleton Warrior, it can swallow two Skeleton Warriors, why it would not be inconceivable that it can swallow five Skeleton Warriors, but the question is... can it swallow eighty Skeleton Warriors?

Not to mention several dozen Mordenkainen's Swords, Sword Spiders, etc... CHEESE! CAN YOU SMELL THE CHEESE!

How many Mordy's Swords can he swallow without being filleted from the inside out?
