I'm in the Underdark currently, with a multiplayer-created party :

me - Fighter/cleric
Fighter/mage
Archer

Right after Adalon changes you into drow, things go wrong

My fighter/mage suddenly forgot how to walk normally,.. he stops every 2 meters and just gives every 5 meters.. forgetting where he had to go.
This is VERY annoying !!

walk -stop- walk -complete stop ---> points where he was supposed to go --->
walk -stop- walk -complete stop ---> Kills own fighter/mage

There seems to be some problem with the drow-avatars i was changed into.
I am fully patched I think,.. so .. would manually changing back my appearance to normal fix it ? Would it have any consequences ( drow seeing the real me )?

Thx for any replies

using shadowkeeper to just change appearances wont work,.. since all that's changed are the colours. Only other thing is to change the parameters to change me back, but:
1. I dont know which
2. Changing them back will no doubt make the drow hostile

. . . help ?

Yep, that's a known Infinity Engine bug. But... Despair not! Westley Weimer for the rescue!

Download the Ease-of-Use mod, and install the "No Drow Avatars on Party In Underdark" component. That should do the trick.

Just discovered that its not the drow avatar that's causing the problem, but
Sabchuudoku. If i equip any weapon on him but Sanchuudoku, he walks just fine .. but once he equipes the katana, his legs start getting dodgy again ..
Anywayz, 'll downlaod the ease-of-use mod , see if it works

It's both Sanchuu and IE's fault.
It's in the EoU's README file:
Quote:
No Drow Avatars on Party In Underdark

Adalon the Silver Dragon normally changes the party to look like drow
cosmetically. Unfortunately, the game engine has a number of bugs related
to this that cause the PCs to "stutter" and "stop walking" and whatnot
(especially if they have regeneration items). This disable the cosmetic
drow avatar bit only: the plot remains unchanged.
... and Sanchuu is one heck of a regeneration item.

Sanchuu is actually Sanchuudoku, a very powerful Katana.
It's not in the original game, though - it is a part of the Acid Kensai encounter which comes with the Tactics Mod.

ah well .. cant be helped really, since Adalon allready changed me ...
I installed the no-drow-avatar thing, but it cant change me back if I've allready changed into a drow avatar.

No biggy though .. I can do without Sanchuu for a while

Just cleaned out the Improved Mind flayers lair.. FUN !
Just my archer, with the HLA that kills anything below lvl 12 .. any flayer or ularithid that dares pop even partially out of invisibility is dead.
.. Definetly since my 5 attacks per round were upgraded by my fighter/mage to 10 attacks per round
