something very strange happened to me on Baldur's Gate ToB the other day. I was playing with a sorceror which I had cheated up to level 40 and given lots of ood equipment, and so on, and I was enjoying killing things to weak to even hurt me in SoA. All of a sudden, when I was working on a private ambition, to have a petrified Black Dragon in my hall (which I had stolen from the slave lords in the Temple District) when all the magic failed. Any spell anyone (including me) cast came out as;
Wild Surge; Colour changes. This was most annoying. Does anyone know why it happened?

Unless your within the side quest of the tower who-name-I-can't-remember from ToB no. If so,
. . . . .. . . . . . . . .. . . . .. . The maze level has wild and no magic areas. |

Why yes! I'm not going to tell you though! jk
Anyway, you most likely hit ctrl h. This makes it so that a specific wild magic effect ALWAYS happens. Hold down ctrl h (and then press it once at a time when you get close) until you reach Wild Surge 0. This will make all spells cast as default (Except for that wacky wild wizard!). |

No matter, I came out of the game entirely (to post a message on this forum actually) and it was fixed when I went back.
