I've never read the actual Baldur's Gate books although recently inspired by Baldur's Gate I've begun reading R.A Salvatore's forgotten realms books. I remember someone on this forum saying the books of Baldur's Gate sucked so it's interesting you like them. Hmmm maybe I'll give them a try if I can find them. BTW what characters are in it is Mazzy in the BG2 one?

I have heard that the're pretty lousy.
I don't think I'd read them, anyway, since the story would be wrong.
After all, I am the hero of Balder's Gate, not some shmuck made up by the author.

I've heard that the Bhaalspawn character, Abdel, goes from Chaotic Evil to Lawful Good alignment within the space of 100 pages...completely unrealistic. Since that's just hearsay, though, you'd be better off asking someone who's read the books.

NO mazzy isnt i it because he doesnt do any side questhe ust sticks to the main plot thats what makes the plot different. also he doesnt meet minsc untill the second book when he is in the cell with jaheria. Jaheria and khalid are in the first one, but like in the game kahlid dies. and yoshimo doesnt stay with him. yoshimo and minsc stay and work at th copper corent, and imoen didnt travel with him in the first thts what makes it wierd that he meets her in irenicuss dungeon, and the game is to go after irenicus not save imoen!!imoen does get in a bath with the drow quenn what ever her name is and starts likeing her if u know what i mean. and i dont know if they are buyible in austrilia i live in te usa.

Thanks Dar'tanian. No Mazzy oh well. Maybe I'll read them if I find the time to but it's doubtful I'm having enough trouble getting hold of copies of R.A Salvatore's books

Hey, Zarr, have u tried Amazon.com? They practically all the Drizzt books, if that's what ur after. If not, then Amazon.co.uk may have them.

I heard that the bg books were rubbish cos Imoen dies and so does Jaheira, i think, or some other main character.

I tried Amazon.co.uk as I live in the UK. That was some time ago so it's about time I checked again though. I have three Drizzt books ordered in a book shop one they definetly have and the others are out of stock at the book publisher so I'll only be able to get them if they decide to publish more. Anyway thanks I'll try the Amazon website again.

I got the first trilogy of Drizzt on Amazon.com, the dark elf trilogy. After that comes the Icewind Dale trilogy and then Legacy of the drow. (These are all collectors edidtions. Legacy of the Drow is 4 books in one.)

Only if you're interested in the order of course!
