Default Any played Witcher 2 yet?

I'm curious how it compares to the first, one of the best rpgs in recent memory. I'll pick up the second eventually but can't decide if I should buy it new or wait until it drops in price a little bit.

All the previews I've looked at are implying it's the best RPG ever. I didn't like the first one too much although that was just from personal taste. But I think the second one seem really nice and I can't wait to try it too.

Not into the first one either, may play this eventually at least to give it a try.

Last night I played through he prologue and so far the game is really fun so far.

The mood is great, the environments and graphics are nice, the characters are insteresting. The combat is different than the first game. You don't use stances anymore. Instead you have quick attacks and strong attacks.

They put in different gameplay elements in this game. There are quick time events (You can turn them off in the options), dice and card games, a stealth section, etc.

But the game does have a problem in that it doesn't explain to you anything that should actually be explained. There are instructions on how to open a chest (click on it), how to drink potions (enter meditation mode) but no instructions on how to enter meditation mode, or even how to play the dice and card games, etc.

I'm looking forward to playing more of it tonight.

Well so far it's a blast - the authenticator is just not working so I cannot type in my code and start playing - SecureROM are rubbish

I think its about time all those gaming companies start thinking over their DRM solutions!

Finally got it working - required two restarts + enabling admin mode + two driver updates + one patch + a headache the size of mount Rushmore!

That being said - the game is in a league of its own in terms of environment - the voice casting is one of the best I've ever seen and the graphics are excellent ( without being on par with Deus Ex or Mass Effect ) but somehow I feel cheated - it may be the combat system that I dislike - for some reason it does not seem to be fast paced action more of a turn based thing ( I know its not ) but I would have loved doing some of the stuff from Assassins creed instead - running into an enemy and pummeling him with twin daggers and then disengaging while the enemy is standing there bleeding profusely on the ground from 35 small dagger holes in his chest...that would be something.

If you buy the good old games version there is no DRM.
