Question Mark Direct Buy

I'm guessing that most of you have heard of this, on TV, or whatever,

They were on CBC news yesterday, due to all the complaints the BBB etc have been getting about them.

I could not find an article, but people are saying that, when you call them, they are pressured into signing up right then, or you can never apply again. It costs $5,000 to sign up.

To me, this is like the mortgage thing; if it sounds too good to be true..

Canada is introducing new legislation to protect against this and they have already said that people are allowed a 3 day "cooling off" period, in case they want to bow out.

Gee, spend 5k to save some money..
Delivery of the items also takes weeks, and if you need to return the item, you deal with the manufacturer.
Doesn't make sense to me. Specially these days, when there are so many deals to be had.

Default Re: Direct Buy

Here are some comments on DB..http://www.infomercialscams.com/scams/direct_buy_scams

I don't know if this site has an axe to grind, so take with some salt.
