I'm partial to the Axe of the Unyielding and the Answerer.

I would combine the Axe of Unyielding with Foebane, myself, with the Axe in my offhand.
Another wicked combo is the Answerer, with Angurvadal in my offhand.

For best all-around weapon, though, I'm still partial to the Flail of the Ages, my favorite since Chapter 2.

There's no competition... Really...

Ravanger +6 trumps any other weapon, big time!

Come'on - 10% Vorpal hit with *no save*, +6 enchantment (only Lilacor's brother is better - he's a +12 Hackmaster ), 10% Vorpal hit with *no save*, high damage, 10% Vorpal hit with *no save*, poison damage on failed save, 10% Vorpal hit with *no save*... Well, you get my drift.

The canidates for the second place are:
 • Foebane +5 - Examine this weapon closely. It's the best with Improved Haste or (Greater) Whirlwind, it's the best regeneration you can have!
 • Flail of Ages +5 - FoA +3 ruled SoA. FoA +5 rules ToB. The slow effect has *no save*, *bypasses* Magic Resistance, is *cumulative*, the elemental damage is varied and passes right through Stoneskins, and the overall damage is very high for a 1 - Handed weapon.
 • Axe of Unyielding - Good vorpal chance (and the save gets -4 penalty), and good bonuses overall
 • Staff of Ram +6 - Huge damage dealing is this weapon speciality. The Knockback is annoying, though...
 • Old SoA Items - Who needes all this ToB toys!? The Staff of the Magi, Crom Faeyr, Celestial Fury, Carsomyr and Blackrazor will all serve you well even in ToB.

I dare say the Axe of Unyielding +5 is better than The Ravager. Its' vorpal ability is no save as well. Only the Silver Sword allows a save vs death for its' vorpal hits.

As for best weapon? Depends on the class, but my personal favourite has always been the Flail of Ages +5.

And i dare to say that you are wrong.

You can save vs. the Axe of Unyielding's vorpal hit.
Just verified with the Infinity Explorer - the save is vs. Death, with a -4 penalty. Not bad, but it's no Ravager +6.
