Light Bulb Propaganda balloons over NK.

With Kim Jong-il out of commission, at least temporarely, some South Korean human rights activists have decided to flood North Korea with pampflets dropped from balloons.

An effective way to topple the regime? Could it have an impact during critical moments?

That's really neat, the whole idea with the balloons. Not sure if its an effective way to topple the regime, but I'm think it'll act more like a catalyst to begin the process.

Knowledge is power. The power that the NK people have been starved of.

Interesting... I like that final line... "Where there's a wind, there's a way".

I don't know enough about the current status over there, other than Kim Jong-Il appears to be in very ill health and the people are apparently in bad straits. I don't know if this will hasten the inevitable, or if it will just piss him off to do something to spite them.

Well, in a power vacuum the pampflets might cause alot of annoyance to any new leader trying to assert their power. I suspect the North Koreans have been lied to alot; it's difficult to keep up a lie for too long.
