I mean seriously. I am sick and tired of this company getting away with this agenda-driven propaganda and hatred. Is there any question in a rational persons mind that this is not nuetral and unbiased journalism? I mean, what station has to actually slap the phrase "Fair and Balanced" on their name in an effort to stifle realizations from the public? Isn't that a given with any news channel that it would be fair and balanced and have no political leanings at all?
I do not think that this is a political issue - despite the fact that the station has obvious right-wing political bias. Bill O 'Reilly, Hume and Hannity....I have never seen reporters or commentators act in such an abrasive and spiteful manner. My problem isn't their subject matter...if they were called "Fox Republican Channel" that would be fine. The issue is the masquerading as an unbiased medium, when they intentionally mislead the public. Do we really want our kids growing up in a world where they have to question the nightly news report and wonder if the journalism carries and hidden agenda or motive? What is the world coming to when we allow this crap?

You want to talk bias? Try MSNBC. There is no pretense to journalism there. It is as left leaning as you can get. Chris Matthews and Keith Olberman were yanked by their own bosses because they couldn't keep their bias' off the air during presidential coverage.

To put it bluntly, there's almost no such thing as unbiased news anymore. Look at any news and it'll swing one way or the other. And there's no such thing as an unbiased person. People just notice when the opinion in the news doesn't swing their way.

Olberman is now, he is like O'Reilly's arch-nemesis or something. You're not telling me that NBC is anywhere near as deluded and lost in its own lies as Fox News is. Have you ever watched it for a night? I challenge anyone to switch it on tonight and watch for a few hours, then come back and honestly tell me that shit is fair and balanced.

I don't find that news channels (ever watched the BBC?) typically find a way to make everything a left or right issue. Everything. Not just while the presidential race is on. Like, always, there is an ulterior motive. As far as people noticing when the optionion in the news doesn't agree with theirs...this is my point. There shouldn't be an opinion in the news. The news is the news, the truth is the truth. The Fox channel seems to make a living out of spinning, dressing, re-dressing and twisting it to cater to a political agenda. Ridiculous on a good day, extremely dangerous on a bad one.

For any who don't understand me here, look at this way. If I wanted to know something about dinosaurs, I would go look for a book about them. If that book used every sidenote and footnote it had, to remind me how believing in dinosaurs conflicts with Adam and Eve, then I would be pretty pissed off. Because, if I wanted to know how it did I would have looked for a religious book - not a dinosaur book. I may even have sought out a priest or religious scholar. But I would not have expected this to be forced down my throat while looking for reference on something else. When I watch the news I want the news. Nothing more. Unfiltered, and un-monkeyed with. I find the Fox News is guilty of this 24/7 and, as a result, should at the very least be forced to let the public know what it's doing - so that the people who want to be fed that can be, but the rest of us don't have to think twice.

I haven't watched fox since I was in Middle School and that was for the toons.
So you could be right, they may be more biased than other stations. But there is a severe lack in unbiased news all around be it in a newspaper, internet or tv. If you know of a truly unbiased network point me toward it. As for how they can get away with it? They pull the First Ammendment up anytime someone as a complaint.

The U.S. is basically split down the middle. It is a divided country. Whoever wins the election will still have roughly 50% of the nation leaning the other way. |
