i am soloing as a sorcerer starting from the begining of TOB and I keep getting rocked by these vampiric mists. what spells work good to kill them?

Try hold undead(lvl 3 spell i bielieve i could be wrong.) or Control undead(lvl 7 spell).

what i dont like most of those nasty vampires is that they will drain you and you have to memorize your spell and then rest which is a hassle. dundee is right, i also use skeletons to kill them, i summon about 2 to 3 skeletons just before they see me, then they will do the rest.
