Hi gang -
I usually don't reload areas, but in this game I'm trying to get a mana stone as soon as possible, so I've been reloading Arnika and running straight to He'Li's to see if there is one waiting for me. I've reloaded about 45 times now and still no mana stone, so I thought I'd ask a couple of questions here to confirm that I have terrible luck or find out if I'm doing something wrong. S P O I L E R A L E R T ! ! ! First, I'm checking the chest that has He'Li's key card in it. That's the correct chest, right? Second, my chars are all level 6 when I load Arnika. I know char level can have an effect on what is generated in an area the first time you enter it, so can I even generate a mana stone at level 6 or do I need to be a different level? Thanks for the help! Edited: added spoiler tag just to be safe [ 06-27-2005, 11:40 AM: Message edited by: Gundar ] |

According to Flamestryke's site, you have the right chest, but you only have about a 10% chance of getting a mana stone there between levels 6 and 10, and this is in fact your highest chance of finding one there, so my guess is that you've been pretty unlucky. I'm wondering if resting for a 24 hour period on the outskirts of town before entering Arnika after each reload would make a difference...

Thanks Sinteuil. I'll keep trying and hope my luck changes.

Actually, the one place in Arnika I always find a manastone is in the nameplate of Phoonzang's statue in the fountain next to Antone's and the temple. Just click on it and Bingo. HTH, gr. Wim Denie

Not in the original game. That's there only in Flame's mod.
