Time Warner Cable boosted my download speed :)
Remember how I was asking a few months ago about speeds and all that, and I finally bought into the 8Mbps download speed for $10 more/month?
Well, I cancelled that when I Netflix was not downloading their movie feeds any faster than I was getting with 5Mbps. Now...Roadrunner TWC has upgraded everybody to 7Mbps at no additional cost! I am actually getting 7.2Mbps. What do you think this is about? I think it is an effort to draw people away from DSL.

TWC are infamous for boosting speeds then reducing them, in an effort to lure customers into paying for "what they had". There are several lawsuits about it from what I recall. Don't be surprised if you are reduced (which is well within their rights since it was a free upgrade) and then receive a letter asking if you want to "upgrade" (get your old speed back).
P.S. Unless you are playing MMO's or running a server your current speed is total overkill IMO. Most downloads are capped past peak cable speeds.
