Not much is being mentioned on the exiled Iraqi National Congress in helping Coalition forces.

I heard they are working in Northern Iraq helping to secure Mosul and other parts there and trying to persuade Iraqi generals to defect.

I don't think the US administration is that stupid not to use or sideline these guys. The US needs to show the Iraqi people that there are Iraqi allies with coalition forces trying to help resolve this crisis as quickly as possible.

Unless there is something wrong with the INC, I hope the US admin will use them after Saddam falls.

Well an interrum government will certainly be put in place, but the ultimate decision about who will rule has to be made by the Iraqis themselves.

And something tells me that there is arther more chance of this happening under coalition liberation than the current Baath administration

Give it a few years and even some of the more hard-nosed Iraqis may even thank us for allowing them to have a more active say in their government and country.

Aye, that foundation really needs to be built.

Just as in Post WWII Japan, which actually worked very well, it'd be great to set up a viable model govt and have the rest of the Muslim world see that's possible; a country friendly to the West yet still remain faithful to Islam.

Unfortunatley, the real problem is having countries like Saudi Arabia not leading the charge in doing like this.

Saudi Arabia is the key to convincing all the other Arab states to push reform.
