Slovakia was the first to be elminated out of the 2002 Hockey Winter Olympics.
Quite a surprise, as Slovikia was expected to be one of the teams to win the preliminary round. But they went 0-2 as Latvia tied them Sunday Night. Poor Ziggy Pallfy. Germany remains undefeated as they edged by Austria 3-2. It turns out Ollie Kolzig will miss out to play for Germany due to a leg injury he suffered in an NHL game. Latvia remains in the thick of things going 1-1. Cant wait for tomrorows games.
