Ok, heres how it goes;

IMHO, Fighters are stronger because, You can achieve grand mastery in most weapons thus creating Extra Damage and THAC0

and whats with the multipule posts?

actually, i disagree. take cavalier and kensai as an example. cavalier is much better.

but by stronger, do you mean physically or just better, tom?

Paladins Definitely, because
1)they can heal themselves after hacking and slashing
2)the can use the best weapon in the game

So what would you rather have, a fighter totaly depedant on clreics/druids/healing potions o a paladin who can do the things listed above.

Paladin. Just take the Cavalier; many good abilities and resistances, becomes a good warrior, has access to some Priest-spells and can wield the Carsomyr!
That's way Paladins are the best class, IMO.

I agree whit "DragonSlayer25"... "holy avanger" is the best sword I ever had, and in ToB you can make it even better, plus you can have some cool and usefull priest spells... well the only thing good about fighters is the "d'Arnise Hold", witch I think is better then the "radiant heart"...

It depends on your playing style. Paladins are extremely fun, get to heal people, cast priest spells, get saving throw bonuses, can turn undead, and are really nice to people. Various kits can cast a ridiculously high-level Dispel Magic, True Sight, Remove Fear, and are immune to a huge amount of effects, and can use the Holy Avenger (enough of a reason by itself). The drawback is that they're always nice to people and cannot overspecialize. The good side to non-mastery is that you end up able to use many more types of weapons, which is exceedingly useful in ToB, where there are many particlarly nasty dual-weilding combos. Fighters get levels faster, can specialize in weapons much more, and can be downright mean. They sacrifice all of the good paladin stuff for fighting prowess. Playing a paladin is much funner, but playing a fighter gets you a lot more power. It's your choice.

Again the question should be adressed taking in consideration that in ToB there other weapons as powerfull as Carsomyr and that a fighter levels up faster and as such gets more high level abilities.
I think that palladins are fun but a fighter is the pure killing machine!
