Just thinking about the legendary sword that has been in every game of Wizardry.. the Blade Cusinart. Is this sword available in the world of Wiz8?

As far as i can remember this particular sword is the cream of the crop regarding swords in wizardry games. Is it here?

Yes it is available, but there are much better swords. If you want to know what the better swords are, post again.

I haven't seen the cuisinart blade, maybe it's imported from Wiz 7? Also, didn't M&M 6 or 7 have it, or was this in ref to certain robot fighters in a fort...it has been a while.

The Blade Cuisinart was one of the great weapons of the early Wizardries. I don't recall seeing it myself in Wiz 8. However, it might be there as a low-chance random drop.

As gator said, though, there are some great swords in Wiz 8 that surpass the old BC.

What are some of the best swords in Wizardry 8 and where can they be found?

The Cuisinart was the top member of the "Metal Knight" triad in MM6; the Dragon Caves map was full of them, and there were also a few of them in the Warlord's Fortress. As I recall, Cuisinarts could drop Level 5 (or maybe even Level 6) armor when killed. Said killing being a lot easier than it really should have been in the Dragon Caves, because you could roll Sparks and Rock Blast down those long tunnels at them for several rounds before they could get to you.

Correction: make that "Caves of the Dragon Riders", I think.

The best sword is the *light sword*. I picked this up once. It's so good, it's almost not fair.

Here's a list of the swords and the damage they do:

having never played any of the former Wizardry games, I was ignorant of this particular sword. I read this thread, and Earlier today, I got it! LOL It was in the queen's chest in the rapax castle. I was just seeing of making the King mad was worth it, and the BC was the only thing worth the whole thing, and it wasn't worth pissing them off. LOL There are enough of them things to kill in the away camp. Just thought I'd post that I did find the BC in Wiz 8.
