Finally made it to Balmora. Got side tracked by a gal, and a couple of homos trapped by a pair of mating whatevers. Anyhow, finally got my sights tuned and headed into Balmora via Moongate.

When is the time to take care of the bad people? I can take out the thief gal, but when I target the pawnbroker from the mop closet, all 3 join into the fray. That I can't handle?

I'm a level 7 (AINTFIGUREDITOUTYET)

What is this main quest that you all speak about?

ok... main quest go speak to caius his house is in north east section of balmora across the river and in top corner just under the mountain range, that will get you started on the main quest.

as for i assume the quest where you have to assassinate someone i think for the thieves guild might be hlaalu, that the one? anyhows the two on top of the house wont intervene or even care, but you will get up to 5 people on you including the barman, best way is to taunt the people your trying to kill into attacking you, but killing any of the people there wont get you penalised once they attack you, and some townsfolk will go on about a mystery assaliant wiping out the morag tong (i think) in the area.

So either work your levels up by doing other quests or just by training alot so that you can take all of them at the same time, or just taunt the one you want into attacking you first

I guess you are talking about the quest to kill the camonna tong members in the club near the silt strider station? if so, just taunt them or be ready to take them all together... no other ways. As to the quest itself, it is given to you by the legion captain in fort moonmoth, which will also take care of any price on your head you might get for the murders... however, if you are thief guild, you might be tasked to break into the hlaalo manor in balmora and stumble upon the corpse of the hlaalo guy. If you talk to the maid, she will quest you to find the assassin, which is the camonna tong smith. Otherwise if you join house Hlaalu, you will be given the same quest.

Taunting is the way to go, but if your speechcraft sucks it can be quite a "click-fest" before they attack. Taunt the one on the top floor and kill him, taunt the one down at the bottom and kill her, then taunt any of the three - the 3 will all attack on a taunt - the barman will wade in only if you attack first. If you are dying, slug some Sujiyama or whatever it is and go ape-shit on them. You should be able to take them at level 7.

remember in morrowind you can levelup without doing a single quest just by going out in the wastes killing things taking their parts combining them with alchemy to make potions which you sell for lots of money and with that money go train, then level up at will (not ideal admittedly as you dont get full multipliers but means you level up v.fast)

my record now is about 10 levels in 1 minute [img]smile.gif[/img] couldnt be bothered with multipliers as i was left with only luck and two others to up so i just did a load of levels all at once one rest after the other.

but level isnt the strongest factor in winning the fight, get hold of some decent armour and weaponary (Steal it if need be) and you'll be easily hard enough to cream them.
