I am tired - really, REALLY tired - of wandering around the Mt. Gigas caves trying to find this thing. If anyone who found it recalls exactly, or at even almost exactly, where the torch is, I'd love to hear from you. My experimental (no spellcasters) party could really use it. Thanks.

I found it in the bottom of a pit (cave in) in the restricted area on the first level of the caves. Sorry I can't be more specific and good luck. Oh yea, and what's up with those "bat vampires"? Are they just dyslexic vampire bats?

Maybe they are the only type of vampire that can see their own reflection in the mirror?

The vampire bat can drain your characters, but is not undead.

The bat vampire attack is not known (they died too fast), but they are affected by the bishop dispel undead power.

Thanks for the replies; maybe now I'll be able to find that ptorch at last. May be awhile before I have the chance, as the team is just entering Bayjin at the moment.

As for bat vampires, maybe they're vampires in bat form. Suggested by turning undead being available. Can't think of any other explanation.

That's the only explanation I could think of. It does, however, beg the questions: Why are the vampires of Dominus always in bat form? and don't they get tired of it?
