The first two books were easy reads and moved along at a good pace. But with book 3 the pace has slowed down. This volume is about 20% bigger (no I didn't measure it). I noticed that 4 is about 100% bigger than 1, and I understand 5 is bigger yet!!!

You're complaining that it's larger? lol!

I am VERY happy she is increasing the size! I enjoyed all 4 of them, and they always seem to go by so quick

Perhaps she has enrolled in the Robert Jordan School of Endless, Endless, Lost Focus Writing.

I think it's deadlines that are the problem here. She's got a whole barrel of good ideas, but she has no time for editing or proofreading; all she can do is arrange the ideas as best as she can. 'Goblet' could have easily been trimmed down to the size of 'Prisoner' (A few friends of mine did, literally) but it took them ages to rework the story's pace - and so JKR would have needed to do a massive rewrite.

Their publisher (Scholastic) said that Book 5 is 60,000 more words than book 4, and that book 5 will have the same amount of pages as book 4 did, but book 5's type font will be slightly smaller. oh well

Well I am not complaining here, the bigger the better imo so it will take me longer to read.

I really love those Harry Potter books, and Rowling has a good writing style so I don't mind reading more of her books.

The bigger the better! As you said, even though book 4 was very long, I read it very quickly for some reason! Freaky
