hey people ....
I have read what i could fine about the fight against Aec'letec .. And i have tryid every thing .... I have spendt about 20 hours on this fight..Im very close just say ..forget it ..i move on withoytr this fight...

Can he really be that tough ?? I dont remember him so bad the last time i played this game... My major problem is that my summoner beast dont last the time i take to kill all the cult guard ... All my party is about level 7 - close to 8 , what the hell shall i do ... I use the mirror drink, and dispal magic spell , and ranged atack ...

So now i ask your good people in forgotten realm.. Help me... Do you have a good tactic, what did u do, or shall i just move on...and forget about ???

If you're desperate enough, try sending in a lone thief with a ranged weapon. After the demon has been summoned you can use stealth and wallhugging to snipe at the acolytes without either the nasty lady or the mean old devil spotting/attacking you. Once all of the support troops are gone, go back up, buff up and bring your party down on the remaining two baddies.
Beware though that this is most definately not a proper way of beating the demon (but who should care apart from you yourself?).
Alternatively, try reducing game difficulty for the duration of the fight. You should be able to finish the statues much more quickly that way.

I'm kinda newbie on this game, so I can only offer you a very cheesy tactic I used on first encounter with Aec'letec. Send in an invisible character who can use more powerful wands (wand of fire, ice, but NOT wand of summoning)and finish off the guards first and avoid to be seen by the woman that leads the ritual (be careful not to hurt her too). After you kill the guards bring the rest of your party in, she will summon Aec'letec, and after you finish her Aec'letec will become vulnearable. The rest is then up to you, but pre-buffing is still very important.

EDIT: Oops too slow!

I don't recognize the name Aec'Letec, and can't remember encountering it. where is it/him/her? I probably have run accross it, but just can't recall the name.

Rehsams,

I asked for help about this fight a while back; you can still find the thread on this page although my problem was different from yours, you might something helpful there as well.

anyway, IIRC, the moment our group show up downstair, the conversation with the woman was immediately initiated (the latest Baldur's Gate + TOTSC original saga edition). I don't know whether the invisible character tactic will work at all...you have to make everyone invisible and go downstair probably?

summon monster will work as in all BG/TOTSC tough battles, just be careful its gaze attack and don't let anyone in your party be held.

if you go through TOTSC, you just cannot miss it, probably just don't know its name.

Simple.
Cast 'Otiluke's Resilient Sphere' on the demon Aec Letec as soon as he has been summoned (if he resists it, just reload and try again). This basically imprisons him for a few real-time minutes, he can't hurt you, you can't hurt him. Use this time to take care of all the ■■■■■-ass acolytes in the area, then take up offensive positions around Aec. As soon as the sphere runs out of power, pound the crap out of him.

Problem solved, let's get a beer.
