Well, the ghost wasn't supposed to be "woken up", but each time I did the quest, I killed it in one shot with the "Dust To Dust" spell. I don't know if that's neccessary or not. Did you have your "Ninja-to-be" throw the switch? That's what I did 'cause I know some things in the game are picky that way.

It doesn't matter whether or not you kill the ghost. IMO, he ain't asleep...he's never been in any game I've played! As Dr. Pick says, however, it DOES matter as to who flips the switch.

Go back (or reload) and try it again...make sure it's your Ninja wannabe who does it!

Hey,Saz. I assume you mean the ghost has never been asleep. I don't know except that when I put the pointer on it to blast it, it's ID'd as "Sleeping Spirit" or something like that. It never had a chance to say "BOO" in any case. LOL

I don't know exactly what you have to do but I killed the ghost and flipped the switch with my ninja-to-be. After this though, you never have to do the quest again. For anyone else that you want to be a ninja, all you have to do is take the quest and enter the Bushi Dojo, you don't even have to leave town.

PS - This is off topic but do you guys like my new sig? Thanks to Cloudy and Lavindathar for teaching me how to create a signature! Lavindathar doesn't post on the W&W board but Cloudy does sometimes.

For some unknown reason, I'm never recognized as a good ninja until my character lowers the bridge and croses it from the inside out.

Did you manage to become a ninja?

Everytime I did the ninja quest I just ran for the tower and flipped the switch and just ignored the ghosts, et al. Some times that drawbridge doesn't stay down. Are you sure it was down when you headed back to town?
Try doing the quest over again and run out the front gate after it's lowered.
Hope you make ninja!!

The Ninja quest bug :
1. Enter the ruins, do what you want (including killing the ghosts).
2. Lower the drawbridge.
3. Return to the town and get the Ninja Quest. You can go to Bushi Dojo immediately and become a ninja - because the bridge is down (you have done it already) and no ghosts have seen you after getting the quest (sure, they are in the ruins and you are in the town).

You guys was right! I am now the proud manager of 4 ninjas and 2 samurai.

Kudos to the most talented board on the net.

It is now time to go through the Dragon Spire.

I'm off!

Good luck to your new Ninja, MockHuman! And let us know how it goes.

Jafin, I think your new sig is truly cool! It is great how the folks at the GD helped you learn how to do it too! How do you like the one Saz designed for me?
