TotL:After the slimey bard: Jackal caves

Well, first time thru the TotL. The Luremaster, aka bard, trapped me with the slime. I killed them but used a lot of healing spells/fire spells. I try to rest but keep getting interupted. I went to the Jackal area and can't rest.

Is there anywhere that you can rest after the bard locks you in or are you basically restless from that point on?

Please help, these areas are actually pretty tough, especially those Stone Nuisances.

On the portal level, there is a solo jackal that you can talk to and he will let you rest uninteruppted. Prior to that, it is very tough to find a place to rest where you won't be awakened by monsters.

You can also go back to the room whose hidden door you entered this section of the dungeon from and close the door to the slime room and then rest. I have done this twice and rested without interuption.

BTW, the jackals are bad, but after that the harpies are much worse... and many more of them!
