damn trolls

Hello, I am Chimpy. I'm in Dragon's Eye and up to the part where the High Summoner keeps making trolls and lizardmen. Unfortunately i ran out of Fire Spells, Fire Arrows, and Acid Arrows and there are three "Almost dead" trolls lying down regenerating. Is there any other way to kill them without using the above weapons???? I dont feel like resting because then i wouldve taken them down for nothing.

When the trolls are still standing, you can kill them without fire or acid by doing so much damage in one hit as to make them explode (you've probably seen this happen before).

Other than that, however, there's no way to kill a troll without fire or acid.

The jars that you found off the dead bodies of the Lizard Shamans are fire potions, you can use those on the Trolls too if you have any left.

Ah, I've run out of fire potions too, so I guess I'll try and gibb them. Thanks for the help wretched and dragon!!

Hi, i had to kill one troll over 20 times before it would die. I tried burning hands, agannazars scorcher and finally fireballs. The two handed axe of fire is handy because it can burn them even when they are on the ground. When i got the +2 longsword of confusion i was able to kill them through massive damage. My real advice is don't waste arrows on them.

Knock the p*ss out of 'em, and the use an Aganazzi's Scorcher on em when they hit the ground if you don't have any fire damage!
I agree, don't waste arrows on them. Also helpful is to turn off party AI during troll encounters, as your mages will continue to waste your magic missiles on a downed troll until someone kills it.

Thanks for all the advice everyone, your tactics sure helped out a lot. Killing trolls is easier now, I know every possible way to kill them thanks to you guys! =) Now, off I go to slay that damn High Summoner!! So he can't summon anymore trolls or lizardmen! Damn that bastard is annoying. This Fartstone Gem better be worth all this trouble.

Using arrows of fire or acid are a great way to finish off downed trolls and is not a "waste" of arrows.

Best trick is to use fire weapons on them while they are on the ground or phase them while they are there. You can use phasing to kill trolls as well as acid and fire. Even massive damage kills them.
