If i import a cleric that is level 9 into bg2 will he/she automatically learn all the spells in bg2 that i missed? I was wondering if i should keep my bg1 characters or not.

Yes, Well I Seem To remember That My Cleric Did. All That Happens Is It Asks you If You Want To Be A Normal Cleric Or One Of The New Cleric Kits.

Clerics learn all the spells of each level at once, so you will know all the spells in BG2 available at each spell level. The spell progression is the same in BG1/Tales (with XP cap removed--you can't reach a cleric level 9 otherwise) and BG2 for a level 9 cleric: four slots at level 1, four slots at level 2, three slots at level 3, two slots at level 4, and one slot at level 5. You'll see a number of spells that you didn't have before in BG2.
Sure, why not import the BG1 characters you like into BG2? You don't even have to take them in via a final game same. Just copy the BG1 .chr file to the BG2 Characters folder. If you then start a new BG2 game with such a character it should strip the character of any BG1 items in the conversion to BG2 process.

Yes, clerics do get all the aditional priest spell that were not in BG1. like Cure Medium WOunds, Doom (a personal fave) and so on. Or you can use a kit and get some extra-special abilites, and apparently no cleric-kit has a downside, so you should never play as a regular cleric. since im not a big cleric fan, i dont know about that.
